louca = thirteen (Lhaesine pronunciation = LOO-kuh) (adjective) (number) (some things Google found for "louca": a very common term; a last name, notably accessories designer Joanna Louca; a last name that may be a variation of the similar-looking Portuguese last name "Louçã"; "louca" means "insane person" in Portuguese (seems to be used like Spanish "loco"); Palma Louca ("wild palm") is a Brazilian lager beer; Frixos Louca Ltd is a Cyprus property development company; a last name that can be from Oceania)
As thirteen is thought by some to be unlucky, having a word that can mean "crazy or wild" seems sort of fitting.
My previous word for "thirteen" was "leugan". I was never entirely happy with that word, and besides it contains the vowel combination "eu" which is no longer used in Lhaesine. (If you like "eu" as a vowel combination, it's used in my other conlang, Miresua.) By the way, my word for "three" is "luec".
This word has been revised. The Lhaesine word for "thirteen" is now "shoun".
This word has been revised again. The Lhaesine word for "thirteen" is now "dache". This posting is no longer current.
