hiraen = happy (Lhaesine pronunciation = HIH-raawn) (adjective) (some things Google found for "hiraen": an uncommon to rare term which is close in spelling to the common term "hiren"; user names; something called Hiraen Aravit's Sul Sphere in EverQuest 2; Hiraen National Sanatorium and Hiraen clays of Japan)
Merry Christmas!
Lhaesine is a conlang, an artificial or constructed language. This is a project to invent a lexicon of new "words" in an imaginary language. Postings shows English to Lhaesine, my approximate Lhaesine word pronunciation, and what Google search found for my made-up word.

lead is rudas (revisited)
rudas = lead (Lhaesine pronunciation = ruh-DAHS) (noun) (metal) (some things Google found for "rudas": a common term; Rudas Baths in Budapest which were first built during the Turkish occupation of Hungary in 1550; RUDAS stands for Rowland Universal Dementia Assessment Scale; a last name that can be Hungarian or can be Hispanic; means "brown" in Lithuanian)
My previous word for "lead" was "rudis". This is a small change. I think my new word looks somewhat heavier, more like lead.
This word has been revised again. The Lhaesine word for "lead" is now "burc". This posting is no longer current.

swamp is dutha (revisited)
dutha = swamp (Lhaesine pronunciation = DUHTH-uh) (noun) (some things Google found for "dutha": an uncommon to rare term; an unusual last name that can be from France or Ireland or Hungary or India; name of a city in Turkey; user names; Dutha river and Dutha Knights in the World of Terris fantasy game setting; Dutha Spring in Western Australia; a place in a poem of Ossian which is supposedly Scottish-Gaelic)
My previous Lhaesine word for "swamp" was "dufash", which was rather unwieldy. I can use the "th" consonant combination in Lhaesine, and I should try to use it more often.

zinc is ninel (revisited)
ninel = zinc (Lhaesine pronunciation = NIH-nehl) (noun) (metal) (some things Google found for "ninel": a common term; Ninel Conde is a Mexican actress and singer; a feminine Russian first name which is a backward spelling of Lenin, the Communist revolutionary leader; a last name, notably musician Emma Ninel; user names)
My previous Lhaesine word for "zinc" was "nines". Even though my conlang word was pronounced differently than "nines" in English, I decided to modify this word. Somehow "nines" didn't seem quite fitting.
Zinc is the fourth most common metal in use today.
This word has been revised. The Lhaesine word for "zinc" is now "linel". This posting is no longer current.
