bronze is srale (revisited)

srale = bronze (Lhaesine pronunciation = SRAIL) (noun and adjective) (metal alloy) (some things Google found for "srale": an uncommon term; user names; a misspelling of sale; a misspelling of scale)

My previous Lhaesine word for "bronze" was "sral", so this is a minor modification. I decided to add an "e" to the end of the word, which changes how the "a" is pronounced. It also changes the look of this conlang word.

Bronze is the term used for alloys of copper and tin.

silver is tishar (revisited)

tishar = silver (Lhaesine pronunciation = TIH-shar) (noun, adjective) (some things Google found for "tishar": an uncommon to rare term; an unusual last name; an unsual first name; TIS/HAR stations are low-power AM radio stations used in the US by government for travelers information and highway advisories; user names; USDA's Tishar series of well drained soils; in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series character Elisane Tishar was the first Amyrlin Seat of the Aes Sedai)

My previous word for "silver" was "tirsar". It had a "rs" consonant combination in it, which I'm not certain I want to use in Lhaesine. I think that my new word is easier to pronounce.

This is the fifth word I've defined for silver, a record for number of revisions to a single word. Hopefully this one will stick.

It didn't stick, this word has been revised again. I went back to the previous word, and the Lhaesine word for "silver" is once again "tirsar".

This word has been revised yet again. The Lhaesine word for "silver" is now "tirsa". This posting is no longer current.

fresh is haila

haila = fresh (Lhaesine pronunciation = HAY-luh) (adjective) (some things Google found for "haila": an uncommon term; a feminine first name, notably Cuban singer Haila Maria Mompié and actress and producer Haila Stoddard; Haila Haila is a Bollywood Hindi song; a last name that can be Finnish; Haila Engineering Group of Iowa offers architectural and structured engineering; Haila is a song title by Polish doom metal group Cemetery of Scream; places in Syria, China, Pakistan, and Sierra Leone)

I originally looked up the information on this word for Miresua, my Basque/Finnish conlang. I decided not to use "haila" at the last minute, for reasons I won't go into here. Not all words from Miresua can be used in Lhaesine. Lhaesine and Miresua are quite different languages.

purple is toiza (revisited)

toiza = purple (Lhaesine pronunciation = TOY-zuh) (adjective) (color) (some things Google found for "toiza": an uncommon to rare term; user names; Pokémon Toiza Charmander, Toiza Bulbasaur, and Toiza Squirtle; an unusual last name)

My previous Lhaesine word for "purple" was "toisa". I have the letter "z" in this conlang, might as well use it.

This word ends my series of color word modifications.
