twenty is calt

calt = twenty (Lhaesine pronunciation = CAHLT) (adjective) (number) (some things Google found for "calt": an uncommon term; a last name, notably author Stephen Calt; CALT is an acronym for The Centre for Advanced Learning Technologies in France; CALT stands for China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology in Aerospace; CALT is an acronym for Computerized Achievement Levels Tests; Calt Silicone Rubber Products (Nanjing) Co., Ltd of China; CALT stands for Conjunctiva-associated lymphoid tissue; CALT stands for Computer Assisted Language Testing (or Teaching))

Twenty is where my counting numbers upwards ends, at least for now. I'm thinking that the number system will be base twenty, instead of our familiar base ten. Apparently this means that in the land of Lhae you count on your fingers and your toes.

This word has been revised. The Lhaesine word for "twenty" is now "weth". This posting is no longer current.

nineteen is gelhe

gelhe = nineteen (Lhaesine pronunciation = GEELH) (adjective) (number) (some things Google found for "gelhe": an uncommon to rare term; means "population" in Kurdish; a last name; user names; a misspelling or bad OCR scan of "gelbe" which can mean "yellow" in German; Dol Gelhe is a place in the former county of Merionethshire in Wales)

Upward again, here's my conlang word for "ninteen". It bears some resemblance to my word for "nine" which is "gaez".

Continuing upward with numbers to eighteen. This word features the vowel combination "oi" which I seldom seem to use. It's like I forget that I can use it. Take note that my word for "eight" in Lhaesine is "ruxe".

This word has been revised. The Lhaesine word for "eighteen" is now "noiya". This posting is no longer current.

tibun = seventeen (Lhaesine pronunciation = TIH-buhn) (adjective) (number) (some things Google found for "tibun": an uncommon to rare term; user names; Panu Tibun Island in Papua New Guinea; a last name; means "bowl" in conlang Tatari Faran; a word in the romanized transliteration of the national anthem of the Maldives)

Counting upward, and adding another new word. This Lhaesine word bears some similarity to my word for "seven" which is "teful".

sixteen is anare

Counting upward. This is a newly created word, not a revision. In Lhaesine "six" is "aler". Following my pattern, there is some similarly between my words for "six" and "sixteen".

This word has been redone as part of a series of number revisions. The Lhaesine word for "sixteen" is now "evaen". This posting is no longer current.

Continuing with numbers. My previous word for "fifteen" was "aosit". That was an odd word, and a little too similar to my word for "five" which is "aos".

fourteen is srihe (revisited)

srihe = fourteen (Lhaesine pronunciation = SREYE'h) (adjective) (number) (some things Google found for "srihe": an uncomon to rare term; SRIHE stands for Sequoia Region Institute for Higher Education in California; user names; bad OCR transcription of the word "scene" from an old newspaper document; on Angband which is a dungeon exploration game there's a scroll titled "nagprok srihe" of Teleportation; last name of a character in a Star Wars fan fiction story; appears in what looks like gobbledygook text)

My previous word for "fourteen" was "srige". This word, "srihe", was an earlier version of the word for "four". By the way, currently my word for "four" is "srin".

thirteen is louca (redone)

louca = thirteen (Lhaesine pronunciation = LOO-kuh) (adjective) (number) (some things Google found for "louca": a very common term; a last name, notably accessories designer Joanna Louca; a last name that may be a variation of the similar-looking Portuguese last name "Louçã"; "louca" means "insane person" in Portuguese (seems to be used like Spanish "loco"); Palma Louca ("wild palm") is a Brazilian lager beer; Frixos Louca Ltd is a Cyprus property development company; a last name that can be from Oceania)

As thirteen is thought by some to be unlucky, having a word that can mean "crazy or wild" seems sort of fitting.

My previous word for "thirteen" was "leugan". I was never entirely happy with that word, and besides it contains the vowel combination "eu" which is no longer used in Lhaesine. (If you like "eu" as a vowel combination, it's used in my other conlang, Miresua.) By the way, my word for "three" is "luec".

This word has been revised. The Lhaesine word for "thirteen" is now "shoun".

This word has been revised again. The Lhaesine word for "thirteen" is now "dache". This posting is no longer current.
